Weekly file: unlocking pathways to art

This artist creates work that is a unique blend of visual and experiential poetry. His personal story is intriguing -- having started his professional career as a chiropractor, a traumatic brain injury caused him to emerge from his recovery as a self-taught artist. His work is deeply personal and almost visceral. At times the word and visual associations make the viewer laugh, and at times they are somehow both puzzlingly familiar, yet can leave you grasping at the meaning. Time with his work is a free-associative pop-culture trip worth taking.
