Weekly file: getting ready to hit the road

We are getting excited about the upcoming art fairs in New York. Art fairs have become a major force in the art world, presenting a periodic opportunity for collectors and dealers to engage in a bigger centralized marketplace for buying and selling opportunities. Even if you aren't buying, the fairs are a great place to get an overview of current trends. There are art fairs that vary in scale and focus that take place throughout the year all over the world. New York is host in March to the historically famous Armory Show, as well as the newer Scope, and Volta. Over the course of the year other important shows also take place in New York such as Frieze and the Affordable Art Fair. The fairs this spring should be a particularly good time, as several of the artists with whom we've been working are participating. While we do love to road trip to the shows, we often wish there was one in Boston too. Maybe one day?
